Here is a picture of the 6.5-06 Improved cartridge that I will be chambering and rebarreling a Ruger #1 to, as well as a couple pictures of the barreled action I just finished...

Here is also a list of specs for this particular cartridge -

CASE LENGTH: 2.537"...

BASE DIAMETER: .467...

SHOULDER DIAMETER: .452...

SHOULDER ANGLE: 40 degree...

OVERALL LOADED CARTRIDGE LENGTH - WITH 142 GR. BULLET: 3.472"...

CASE "WATER" CAPACITY - TO BOTTOM OF NECK: 67 grains...

The barrel is a Lilja #1 - B barrel contour / 28" length / 3-groove / 1-8" twist rate / match grade stainless steel...

The 1-piece factory base was replaced with a custom 2-piece base as it does not induce the stresses that are created by the factory 1-piece base when the barrel heats up from shooting...

The three rings added to the custom bases are Millett Angle Loc rings...

The trigger has also been reworked from the factory 7 pounds down to a very clean breaking 3 pounds...
