Reply with quote | #1 | i may be acquiring a .270 wsm. i know there is already a .325wsm, so blowing out the case to .358 shouldn't be that big of a deal. the neck is already .323(on the .325) so it's not that much of a stretch. But can is go to .458??? or should i scrap the .325 brass and use .450 marlin brass? the case dimensions are really close. .270wsm base .5550 the .450 mar .503. **** rim dia. .270wsm .535 the .450 .528*** case length is the same. (2.1) i would be willing to sell the .270wsm if anyone is interested. but first let me see if i get it. |

Reply with quote | #2 | If you anneal the case neck first, taking the 325 WSM brass to .458 is not a problem. I have build 3 rifles in 458 WSM with excellent results....

Reply with quote | #3 | the .270 wsm slipped away.
i'll have to keep that .358/.458 wsm on the back burner. but hopefully a build in the future.
when/if i have you build a ? wsm. what would it be better to base it on? the .300 wsm or just use the .450 marlin???? |
